As written before - I was always annoyed by the slow sleep of my Macbook Pro. Hibernate was nice to let you switch between the sleep levels, but on the road you always had to switch between different sleep levels - sleep with a full battery , hibernate & sleep with a low battery.

The time of hazardous work on the road is over - SmartSleep fixes this. It switches to sleep as you battery is quite full and to hibernate and sleep when its not so full anymore. It automatically switches to just hibernate when the battery level is below 5% ( or 5 minutes ) so you will not harm your battery while depleting it completely.
